XSLT for 'web development'. I remember there used to be quite a few discussion about JSP Vs XSL for web development. What is the current status?. Is it true that the XSL was being dubbed as non-performant? Have things improved lately?

Im part of a project that uses Apache Cocoon. Its an excellent tool. Nevertheless, Our application is not showing a great performance. We can not tell yet if Cocoon / XML is to blame for, we are under a performance tuning process right now, and Cocoon is definitely a great candidate ...
