[Castor] Encoding "special" characters

Hi,

Ive got a problem using castor. The problem is that special characters (like , , etc.) are not processed like I expect them to be.

For example,
the incoming xml message contains a string like rn. Directly after the unmarshalling has taken place the value of the string is changed to RN and is stored and displayed this way.

The xml messages use the UTF-8 encoding. Im using castor version 0.9.4.3 with the latest xercesImpl.jar.

Any suggestions on what goes wrong or how to solve this problem?

Thanks in advance,
Joop
