Hi Guys,

I am generating PDF from an XML using XSL-FO and FOP. The generated PDF has text and images. On the printed copy of the book I need to provide page no. of images wherever they are referenced in the text. The problem is I do not know which page the images will end up in generated PDF.

Is there any way this can be handled.

PS: Only print copies will be distributed to end useres. No electronic copies.

Thanks,
Sharad.

XSL-FO has an elegant method for providing page numbers for use in indexes, tables of contents and the like. Unfortunately it would be hard to explain in a short note. I found the book "Definitive XSL-FO" by Holman to be a great reference.
