variables in XSL

I am supposed to display a table with headers. Headers are passed as a delimited string to xsl file.

<xsl:variable name="headers" select="header1$header2$header3"/>

I need to display this in xsl file.
<table>
<thead>
<th>
<td>header1</td>
<td>header2</td>
<td>header3</td>
</th>
</thead>

Could any one of you please help me. I am new to xsl and have no idea how to get it done.

We did solve this issue on the forum. If you could use the search and look through the results. There should be posts from Map or from myself on this topic. Don't have the URLs with me right now to post. I am 100% positive you should find the solution right here on this forum.
