Cookie and XSLT

Is it possible to create a cookie in XSLT? I am very new to XSLT and would greatly appreciate any help.

Cookies in the usual (web browser) sense are generally set by headers in a web service response. You can use XSLT to create the body of a web page but not the headers.
You could use the XSLT to create JavaScript that runs when the page is loaded and sets a cookie, but that is getting pretty complicated.
