XML Internationalization

I am working on to translate all text in my webapp into different languages.

Because of that I am looking for a "standard" framework/api to make Internationalization using XML files.

Does anyone know or has worked with a framework/api or maybe can refer to a good XML schema?
 
With a little knowledge, a cast iron skillet is non-stick and lasts a lifetime.
