how to generate XML file

hi,
I'm new to XML technology. My task is i need to generate xml file taking data from Database. Can any one please tell me how to acheive this. For this do we need to use parsers? Please suggest me how to complete this task.

Do you already have an example of the XML file to be written?

You need to start with documentation of the names of the Elements, namespaces and attributes to be used.

Working through the Sun XML tutorial will save you lots of time and fumbling around later.

Here is an example that does what you ask. But if you are new to XML in Java, I would suggest you read the rest of the book that surrounds that link.
