Just an informal survey. The new issue of Software Development Magazine tells about how Symantec has taken the plunge into XP (Extreme Programming). I work for a large IT corporation but have only heard of some minor interest in XP at various branches. Nothing official -- most of the project managers I know are more interested in the heavyweight RUP methodology. As for client sites, forget it. Most of them can't even get past the "Waterfall" methodology into Iterative/Incremental Development and those who do want to do IID would rather go with something like RUP. When I first read "Extreme Programming Explained: Embrace Change" in 1999, I made a note on the cover of my copy that in 5 years, XP (or something very similar) would be the way most successful development projects would be done. So far, I have only read about this happening but haven't actually seen or experienced it I was just wondering how others are doing... Junilu
