RUP with Rational XDE and Oracle 9iAS

I've just spent several hours exploring Rational XDE 2.1 in general it was prety good for RUP implementation. my only problem (but not trivial one) is that there is still no smooth integration with Oracle 9IAS it taste too IBMs.
ya ... oracle has a plug-in for it, but the documentation is a nightmare. without even a single sample. so i guess i can't use it as a single design and development environment. i still need help from Jdeveloper.
I am thinking about combine this two development platform. that is by using XDE to Design and produce Architecture Documentation, and generate implementation level prototype. and then export the "protoype code" to Jdeveleper workspace and extend the code there using XP way. periodically, as the iteration process goes we are going to sync our Jdevepoler code with the XDE design manually. but i am affraid the sync process will painfull.
anyone has better idea ?
