Only when there is a book promotion, people showup; they never even touch this forum in other times.
Humans are really stingy.

Or perhaps humans appreciate the chance to discuss a topic with an expert, when it arises.

Well please feel free to take advantage of the opportunity to ask any questions while we're here. It's good to know that our book has enlivened the forum - at least temporarily

Hey! I hang out here all the time ... it's just that aside from the occasional XP questions, most people don't seem to worry much about process, so there aren't many posts starting discussion.
Some day I'm going to start a thread on distributed teams, but maybe this isn't the right week.

You're probably right. Unless you don't mind getting distracted from the topic with questions like "how does this relate to Software by Numbers"

Maybe that's because people can't find the right process for the job they have to do. Or maybe, no such process exists. As I said in this thread, to me, one of the main values of a process should be in its capabilities to be customized to a specific organization. Currently, we can safely admit that no such methodology exists, although XP is quite close to this goal in that it lets a lot of freedom to people using it.
