In the company where I work as a CMS developer I always see ITIL courses and practices mentioned. As the objective of Agile and ITIL seams to be very similar, could you suggest what the difference is between ITIL and Agile and what is best and for what???

Who's using ITIL in your organization? I think our operations and support people are building practices based on ITIL but I haven't heard anything about it in application development.

A good question is never answered. It is not a bolt to be tightened into place but a seed to be planted and to bear more seed toward the hope of greening the landscape of the idea. John Ciardi

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
