Hi, very glad to know another Head First book is published! I am a big fan of this series :) May I know if there is any pre-requisites to read this book, or take the PMP exam? Another question is that are there as many examples in this book as there in previous HF books (such as HFDP)? Thanks! Terry

To read the HFPMP book there is no pre-requisite. It explains the Project Management concepts in an easy to learn approach. To take the PMP exam there are pre-requisites. Please refer the PMI website for details. http://www.pmi.org/CareerDevelopment/Pages/Obtaining-Credential.aspx Yes. The HFPMP book has many examples.

I made a post about PMP certification requirements -- what you need before you can take the PMP exam -- here: http://www.coderanch.com/t/131026/Agile/PMP-Project-Task-Experience As far as examples go, yes, we put a lot of effort into making Head First PMP as full of examples as we could. Project management concepts really don't make sense in a vacuum -- you need to see what they look like when they're applied to a project. That's why we included many scenarios to demonstrate the various processes, tools, techniques and practices.
