Dear All, Hi Mark, if the following not suitable in this forum please move it for me.
My sister installed AOL 8.0 into her antique Windows 98 PC. After she sucessfully registered and everything. Got online chit chat with her friends. The day after she turned on the PC frozen just right after the Window 98 screen came up and the desktop screen displayed with all the shortcut icons. Now, since the majority of you dealing with software. Could you tell me what wrong with my sister computer before I tell you what the AOL Technical Supports in India told me? What kind of strategy AOL has in mind when those Indians only use first names and refuse to give up their managers name because it is against company policy. Hoping I do not have to resolve the problem by calling US General Attorney intervension like other deeper issues. The moral story is Call Center job is very important as development job. It plays direct psychee into customer mind and pocket. Regards, MCao

I'm going to move it, although perhaps you'd like to start a separate thread in Job Discussion on how Call Centers and tech support relates to software development and/or careers. --Mark
