IMAP Mail and Mercury Server or not?

I am using The Mercury Mail Server at home and have setup an IMAP mailsystem. Everything works pretty good except when it comes to deleting and moving messages. And I am not sure if this is IMAP or if this is Mercury.
I have used Outlook and Mozilla Mail to connect to the IMAP mail server. When I delete or move a message, it gets "queued" for deletion from the inbox folder, but never really gets deleted.
Now, if I use Pegasus Mail which is Mercury Mail Server's Client counterpart, and I delete a message, the message actually deletes. And then if I go back into Outlook or whatever, the message is actually gone.
I have looked at the server settings to see if there is a Delete Queued messages option at specific time intervals. And I have also looked at the Client settings in all 3 mail clients and can't find any setting to specify the action on this.
Does anyone know if this is an IMAP issue or if this is just differences between mail clients and how THEY deal with IMAP.
Thanks.
