Simple OS install question

Can I do the following ---

1) install XP pro on top of XP home ?

2) install windows 2000 on top of XP home ?

3) install WIndows 2000 Pro on top of XP pro ?

4) install Xp pro on top of windows 2000 pro ?

start afresh. don't install anything on top of anything.

2) possibly
3) no
4) yes

but read the previous answer: you probably shouldn't (especially 2 and 3, 4 is a decent option and if you have an upgrade version it may be the only option).
