I am thinking of purchasing 'Advanced Unix Programming' by Richard Stevens.
Has anybody read this book?Also how is 'Unix Network Programming' by same author?

At least all the UNIX guys I've known had nodded in concert after someone has mentioned that "every professional blah blah should have this book on his bookshelf"...
I have to admit that even though I have the book, I've only opened it a handful of times back when I had to do a little multithreaded client-server thing in C(++).

 .It seems it is similar to 'Art of computer programming' by Knuth.It has to be on the shelf.
