i am doing a project using which includs developing a web site for a bank.I wanna include in it a search engine (for tht site).But i have no clue where to start from n where to go...so can anyone help me out.

The easiest probably would be to use Google. Not sure wether your customer would like that, though...

I have used Lucene (with Highlighter) with pretty good results. It's a bit daunting at first glance, but the actual code involved is simple enough.
