I wanna know how solaris os is better than windows or in what manner it is lagging?is it open source?Shud i ship to solaris?Will it run on my PC hardware architecture?

Solaris will in fact run on many x86 platforms, but the hardware compatibility list is limited. For any damn old operating system that will die if it does not run on every possible hardware combination, see the linux sort.
