Hi all,

I am buying a router for the first time. Wanted to know what are the popular brands out there. I hear that Linksys is good. Any suggestions?

Dont go for buy back offer.
One of my friend who is working in a sales department of repudiated company told me that in buy back offer, they just increase the price by 30-40% and give that much less against your old equipment.

I love my Zyxel routers. I think they have linux in them or one does. Its highly configurable and even has command line as well as web interfaces. No other broadband router could have done what I am doing with the Zyxel. Very inexpensive as well.

I have owned SMC, Linksys, DLink, Netgear before I stuck with the Zyxel.

If you are a DSL user, than I would recommend the Fritz. It has built-in DSL modem and router. Like other German products, it's damn stable. Have used Netgear before, but it seems not so stable as Fritz one.
