Hi

This is quite a dilemma, how junior must be a junior ?
He needs to know the basics (the access modifiers, data types, etc) ? or is enough only some api(s) (e.g. String, JFrame or JButton) ?
There are some firm standards ?

Regards,
M

There are no standards. Often "Junior" means "straight out of college, with no significant work experience".

But a title means whatever a company wants it to mean. Most companies I'm familiar with don't use the "Junior" designation, but will have "Senior" titles.

Hi Ulf

Thanks for your answer, your are tight about the title and the companies. What I try to find I think is a question without answer, that s really depends on your needs on the time&resources you have.
you said :

"Junior" means "straight out of college, with no significant work experience"

that means it must bring its own knowledge. So in this way I can generalize JP = some knowledge.
