I want to use authentication and authorization and Acegi's seems to be the best framework. I want to know if I should use it in my project and why I should use it? If anyone could summarize the benefits and desadvantages of this security framework it would help me on my decision to choose the right framework. Thanks in advance.

Acegi is definitely a good choice if you're already using Spring but I'm not sure how much work it is to set up Acegi with another web framework or a plain vanilla servlets/jsp web application.
