I am using basic authentication in an interactive way. but when i was trying to use it in non interactive way with the user credentials supplied in the request headers it throws me 403 error . Any ideas

Welcome to JavaRAnch.

How do you send the credentials to the server? Have you verified on the HTTP level that the same is sent as if you were using a browser? A tool like Ethereal can help with this.

I am sorry about the status code . I am actually getting a 302 error code which is actually resource moved or not found. Any ideas
 
Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
