Hello all, just wanted to share my experience. I just took the exam and passed with a 76%. I had really hoped to do better, but I'm extremely pleased. There are several things that I think contributed to my lower score. #1 I had a LOT of I/O questions and that was my weakest. The mock exams that are available are for SCJP1.1 and I just don't think they are good enough. I was acing I/O on mock exams (but I knew that it was my weakest), but they ask some tough I/O on the exam. #2 Of course, you already know...threads are tough. #3 I had heard people say that the mock exams didn't quite do the new format justice and it's true. I was regularly scoring 85 - 95 on mocks. I sort of took what people were saying with a grain of salt. Longer code samples didn't scare me. But it's not just that, the questions are more in depth. Thankfully, I ACED all the fundamentals. I think about anyone who has the fundamentals down REALLY, REALLY, tight can pass but if that's all you have down then you'll be in for a scare when you push that End Button. I would encourage everyone to get to at least a point where they are confident that they can easily pass and then DON'T LET UP for 2 weeks and you can get a good score. I let up a little when I came to the realization that I would be able to pass. I DO NOT have notes available to post, but I will definately stick around and try to help as best I can. I definately owe it to this site. I used RHE, Exam Cram, and JavaRanch exclusively. I'm going to head over to the SCJD forums because I think that's what I'm going to start working on next (with no particular hurry ) Respect To All, Matt
