This week's book giveaway is in the OO, Patterns, UML and Refactoring forum. We're giving away four copies of Refactoring for Software Design Smells: Managing Technical Debt and have Girish Suryanarayana, Ganesh Samarthyam & Tushar Sharma on-line! See this thread for details.
Well, I found the real thing harder than any of the mocks I had found on the web!! (including the "Hardest questions" page). Lot of I/O near the beginning: my heart sank. Somehow I made good with educated guesses, since I got 100% on that section! There were the usual trick questions (non-static methods called in main, etc.) which I managed to catch. Some really messed up Thread code, which I thought I had worked out, but I only got 71% (5/7) on Threads, so something went wrong there. There were quite a few questions on the AWT components (why on earth do they still test this when everyone is using Swing??) Overall, not quite as good as I had hoped I'd get, but OK. Now, get a job :-)
