Hi all I passed last saturday with 72%. I got help from here, hence I want to post some tips that could help others. Books for certification I refered: - Complete Java 2 Certification Study Guide - by Simon Roberts, - A Programmers Guide to Java Certification : A Comprehensive Primer - by Khalid Mughal, - Java 2 Exam Cram - by William B. Brogden, Bill Brogden, - Java In Nutshell, - JFC in Nutshell. JavaRanch was very very helpful. MahaAnna's certification path hints were very helpful. Robert Green's mock is a must. Save it for last round. My average score in 3 tests was same as my actual score. But I would suggest practicing tests little bit harder than Marcus Green's tests so that his kind of test would be easier. Solved atleast 10 mock tests on the Java mock list. Velmurugan's notes is a must. Hat's off to him. Test covered almost all aspects of the SCJP objectives. Some of them I could remember are: String and StringBuffers [ I got 0% in this ] IO pkg constructors single thread and one question on multiple threads where I think I flunked primitive type declarations usage of switch statement Exceptions - usage of try/catch/finally block => read Khalid Mughal book Thanks Rao
