Perfect score for what?

60% is enough for pass - why work for higher scores? Any extra benefit?

There is no real benefit to getting any higher than the 61% needed to pass. The only thing I can think of is that maybe in places such as India where it seems that having this certification is so common you need to differentiate yourself even more.
In the vast majority of cases I don't think an employer will ask for your mark.
