that is great news. congratulations. really good to hear from you. I feel scores are immaterial. You are SCJP , that is important. I feel your boss will be happy. Tell the good news to him. all the very best.
Your Friendly bartender
Shailesh.

Congrats, Jane. Did you find the test very difficult and what would be your recommendation to other Java Ranchers preparing to take the test?

Congratulation, Jane. To answer your question - there are two ways to prove your certification to someone. One is to show them the certificate which you will be receiving shortly. This certificate does not show your score - so if you'd prefer your boss doesn't know the score, this is the way to do it. The other way is to give them your usename and password at the certification verification site (whose URL I don't remember; someone else can provide it I'm sure). If you do this, the viewer will be able to see your score. They can't see your score if you don't provide the access info - but if someone wants proof of your certification, you may have to explain why you don't want to give them your verification info. In many cases, it's more convenient to give out the web site info, so be prepared for such a request.
Now, I don't think you have anything to be ashamed of - 62% is fine; it's a tough test. I just wanted you to understand your options. Again, congratulations.

Hi Donald
No, to be honest apart from the thread questions which were v.hard the rest of the exam was fairly straitforeward (which is kind of why i was a bit dissapointed with the score), there was a lot of questions on the two usual suspects threads and I/O.
Regards,
Jane SCJP (That's still fun to write )
