how many from which catagories?

Hi SCJPs,
Thanks to u all who have passed earlier and been helping us a lot to prepare for the exam. Those who r appearing may remeber this catagory wise question number --- it 'll help all os us who will appear near future. Let me guess.....

1. Threads --- 6
2. Inner Class --- 4
3. I/O ----- 5
4. java.lang and java.util ---- 4
5. AWT event & layout ---- 7
6. Fundamentals ---- 6
7. Garbage collection --- 1
Is it like that?

You're quite close. The certification test currently being administered by Sun is more "adaptive" ie., questions are picked randomly based on your progress during the test. Eventhough you can make educated guesses about distribution of questions per objective, be prepared for surprises. The thing you can be sure about though, is that there will not be any questions asked that are outside the prescribed objectives
