Hi I have passed my SCJP and have seen this topic across many a forums. I have heard that Sun Plans to change its testing style from the current one to adaptive type testing. No one is able to pinpoint the correct answer...

Will this mean that those certified will have to take the test to be re certified......

Hi Shiraz,
Sun is currently looking into the idea of changing the format of the exam to adaptive. They haven't announced their decision; at least not formally.
They have promised to provide 6 months notice if they do decide to change the format. Not sure if people will be required to re-certify although I'm sure they'll make that clear if it is necessary.
Hope that helps.
