Took the exam on 3/8 & passed, at 69% woohoo !
Found "a Programmers Guide to Java Cert" by Mugham & Rasmussen excellent, a brilliant book. Also fould O'Reillys
Java in a Nutshell good, esp for the language reference.
Also this site, which is excellent for "drilling " you in the fundalmentals & Marcus's exam, which is quite realistic.
The Sun practice questions are good also.
One thing puzzled me though, for questions where you have
to input the answer, ie not multiple choice ones (I had three of these) do you need to put the " for strings.
That is , say the answer is a string, should you type
ABC or "ABC"
Anyway, thanks again everyone.
good luck,
Dave

Congratulations Dave
I did not use quotes around strings when answering fill-in type questions; fairly certain that was the right response as I got 100% on one section that required a string as an answer.
