Naveen, Hopefully we r progressing side-by-side for SCJP exam! I think for util Khalid is enough but u can see RHE also with some more explanations. For I/O it's RHE that's better! ------------------ azaman

Hi Naveen, I made all the java.awt; java.util; java.io; java.lang sections with a 100% monday. My only Certification book was the Mughal/Rasmussen. Take care of the constructors of the java.io. My questions regarding java.util was about the basic functionality and class - hierarchie (including the implemented interfaces). If your test is not totally diferent from my test Mughal/Rasmussen should be more than enough. Good luck. Hi Naveen, I took the exam on 3 august & in my opinion the K & M book alone is adequate, the questions I got on the utility classes were on Maps and collections and were well covered by K & M. Likewise, the IO was fine. I agree with the mail to watch the constructors, and also the different reader / writer chaining configurations & what the differences are. good luck, Dave
