Hello there, Yesterday (8/19/01) I passed SCJP with 91%. I would say that the questions were very straightforward. They were much easier than all the mock questions I took. I am a biology major and do not have any programming backgroud. I started preparing this test from Febuary this year. The book I used was RHS's. The mock I used was JQPlus ,Marcus's and 4 Tests in the RHS's book. I visited Java Ranch a lot and enjoyed play those cow games. In the last 2 weeks, my average scores on Marcus' were 73% and about 75% on JQPlus. My advice is that you must really understand the basic concepts on the book. When you did mocks you have to find out why you did wrong on those questions. I saved JQPlus 9 practice questions when I finished. Several days before the test, I just opened those files and rechecked those questions that I did wrong. Anyway, I would like to thank everyone for posting the information on this wonderful sites.

Hi Ashik: I would say you are pretty good now. When I first tried the JQ+ a couple months ago, I only scored like 40 or 50%. I got pretty scared. What I did then was to read every comments about the questions, especially those I did wrong. I went back to the book to check those concepts that I missed. I just kept trying for those 9 practice questions. After maybe 5 or 6 practice tests, I started to get 60s. I think if you can finished all those JQ+ practice questions with around 60% to 70%, you are in a better shape to pass the exam. Several questions in my exam were very similar to some JQ+ questions. Another point I want to make is that do not spend too much time on those real brainer questions. I still could not understand some of them. If you have a good feeling about the basics, you should be OK. Best luck for your exam. Shawn
