Dear friends,
Firstly my thanks to all the people who wrote messages on this great site. Even without participation it was a great help.
I made it with 90% and it met my expectations. The topics like other people i scored less were IO and Threads. Inner classes was easier one. There were lot of questions on Overriding and Overloading and on Interfaces.
To my surprise i got really commplex questions in language fundamentals.
My prepartion revolved around the following resources:
1.) Khalid Mughal (Book)
2.) Exams/Test Simualtors of the following sites: http://www.javacaps.com/scjp_mockexams.html http://www.jtips.net http://www.whizlabs.com/jwhiz (for J@Whiz) http://www.geocities.com/velmurugan_p/notes.html http://www.jchq.net/mockexams/exam2.htm (Marcus Green) http://www.javaworld.com/javaworld/jw-09-1998/jw-09-threads.html (Article on thread)
of course JavaRanch was a BIG HELP!
There were few surprising questions, im not able to recall, but i didnt expect such questions.
Its party time now and i will come back and try to think of more questions which i faced. And answer any of your queries.
Once again thanks a lot to all of you.

I am appearing for SCJP in next 2/3 months.
"unexpected questions " sounds little frightening.

Congratulations !
Do you remember if there was any question about GridbagLayout? I was told only Flow/Border/Grid are in the exam, but I have seen lots of questions about GridbagLayout in the mocks..
Thanks!

You may see a general GridbagLayout question. I recently took the test for the first time (infer what you will from that) and I had one question of the form of "which of the following statements is true about GridbagLayout?"
