HI, I passed with 62% today. Before doing the exam I'd've thought it was apoor score and I was getting 85 to 100 on the chapter tests in RHE, 75 to 85 on the practice exams from the same book and I regularily got 95 or 100% on the JavaRanch test. So what happened? Maybe I focussed too much on one single source. RHE is fab but perhaps because I don't work as a programmer I would have needed some broader materials to work with. Anyway I got 100% in GC, Language Fundamentals and java.lang package. 85% in Flow control and Exception handling. I'm quite proud to have self-taught myself to this level and I'm sure when I get my first java programmer job ( I'm searching at present ) I'll fill in the gaps in my knowledge very quickly. Thank you very much to all at JavaRanch and I hope to continue to learn with you all. now. if I could just get past Java-4B.......... Terry

HI - me again, I forgot to post advice for the exam but perhaps no one wants advice from a low scorer Anyway as I only used one resource but I re-read it time and time again, did all the chapter tests, the sample and bonus exams over and over, there's a clear demonstration from my good scores - 100% in GC, Language Fundamentals and java.lang package. 85% in Flow control and Exception handling. as to what the RHE book is very good at. So if they're your weak points.....
