My Thoughts on the Exam

Here is my 2 cents about the exam.
I think the exam is very fair and for the most part worded very well. I had one question on my test that I felt was poorly worded.
Ok, now for the breakdown
Tools and Books I used

JQPlus (must have, in my oppionion)
Exam Cram
Complete Java2 Certification Study Guide
Many Online resources
DEFINATELY JAVA RANCH !!!
600+ queue cards

As for the test breakdown,
I had 4 fill in's all about what xyz will print to the screen, 4 awt questions, 4 IO questions, 2 GC and the rest was a big smattering of the rest.
I think that JQ+ is much harder then the actual exam, and if you can consistently get better then a 61% on it, your ready for the test.
Do not be concerned about time, I finished in 1 hour and then I spent the 2nd hour reviewing my test.
Also, if you not sure about an answer, don't change it, I know for certain that on reviewing my test I talked myself out of 2 correct answers.
Oh well a pass is a pass!

I need some advice ..i have my exam on April 6th.
How much on java.util package and painting(Graphics and Component class) methods i should know for the exam.As i
still keep forgetting them...and now iam scared what iam going to do in the exam ..

I sit for the test tomorrow morning (9:30 Central - USA). I hope I do as well and am able to report good results.

My test, I had no questions on Graphics, and a couple questions about components. Just know how they behave and you will do fine.
For java.util know the interface heieracry and what each class falls into (implements). I would also know some of the more common methods.
Don't be scared of the test, if you study you will do fine. Awt and Util are a very small portion of the test, at least on my version it was. :roll:
