I want to thank all of you for contributing to my success. All i want to say due to silly mistakes i got 2 answers wrong. I was surprised at few questions because they seem to be to easy but the questions on threads were quite tough. I missed on my strong topic collections i got 2 wrong. All i want to say to prospective exam takers is to go through a good study guide and write lots of code and important point is wording in sentence that also makes lot of difference and take some online test, dont forget to take Valentins mock exam and if you pass that then u r sure of getting atleast 80% i believe. Thanks Kareem

Hi, Tanuja I did trial version of JQPlus and those were good thread questions and those helped me to a great extend. Of 5 question i got on threads i answered 4 right but one was a real brainteaser it involved synchronized blocks of code. But i am real upset about messing up the collections questions. This forum is a great place to get our basics right. I took preparation for 30 days 4 hours each day. Best of luck for your exam Kareem

Hi Kareem, First of all, congratulations on your success. I'll be taking my exams next month, thus would hope if you could provide me some tips on what are the more important chapters I would need to concentrate on. I never believe in tips, nor any other easy way out for passing an exams. However if there's some important chapters which need special attentions, pls kindly let me know. Thanks a lot. Clement

Clement, I think about 10% of the question consists of IO package and about 10% of threads, about 8% of the questions are from collection and i think these topics make a lot of difference and of course 2 or 3 on bit operators. These are apart from the fundamentals which could coverup the rest. And also dont forget about the Inner classes. I think the key for success is lots of code for each topic. A day or two before exam take the Valentin mock exam and disect it Hope this helps Kareem Best of luck for your exam

Congratulations Kareem. This thread really belongs in the Sun Certification results forum. I'm surprised it's lasted this long here in Programmer Certifcation Study. If I had a bartender magic-wand, I could move it myself, but alas, I do not . (hint-hint)
