if your having a bad time just understanding or remembering Java concepts, check out "Learn Java 2 in 24 hours" or "Learn Java 2 in 21 days". They won't be enough to get you certified, but it is a wonderful book for beginners. It sets you in stages. Hope this helps, Travis B.

In my experience, any programming knowledge will quickly filter out of your brain unless you back up your theoretical study with practical assignments. Learn a JAVA concept (inheritence for example) and then write some programs that implement the feature of the language. After any form of theoretical study you need to "use it or lose it". Best of luck.
