Well,I know I shouldn't be asking this question, but I am being forced to! As you all know,I had passed the SCJP exam at the age of 14 years, and I think I am one of the youngest persons to have passed this exam.I actually did not want to know who is the youngest Indian scjp ,but the computer institute which I am studying in wants to gain some competitive advantage by declaring me as the Youngest Indian SCJP.I have read the discussion about the 12 year old Pakistani girl, and I am not that autocratic.I just wanna know,am I the youngest INDIAN scjp? If not who is it? Is there someone who we can email and ask the official list of the youngest SCJP's in the world? Like someone from sun's website? If yes, then pls tell me. Thanks Gautam
I believe it is a 12 year old kid by name Arjun Ravi from Karnataka in India.
Arjun Ravi Narayan from Karnataka, India has become at the age 12 as the youngest person in the country and the world to pass the Sun certified programmer examination for Java2 platform. A Seventh Standard student at the National Academy for Learning, it was his teacher who at a computer institute in Sadashivanagar in Bangalore encouraged him to take up the examination. Earlier he had studied C and C++ languages at the same institute.
Salam all , Just Going through , I thinked that i should tell u some thing intresting such as : Pakistan know Have 11 years boy named Akber break the record of Afsah . WE don't have SCJP , We have Youngest SCWCD , J2EE , UML and XML certified don't worry .I m also not a youngest but on a list of top 10 . i M 16 . Check this out OPERATION BADAR Allah hafiz

I have been following these Youngest SCJP things for quiet sometime now. I dont see how can anyone ever verify the age of people in these exams. Sun doesnt keep any such records, since Sun just wants to measure the competence of the person appearing for the exam. Unless someone wants to start an independent movement and want to collect proof of birth and match it with the date on the certificate. One more observation is that I dont see anyone other than India or Pakistan participating in this Youngest SCJP thing. I think its a matter of pride for anyone irrespective of age By the way I learned Newton's Laws of Physics in 5th Grade, however the People in NASA building those rockets use it in a totally different way :-)
wow, the example of newton is really great , a big applause for u . well that is really true, just clearing scjp is not enough, if u r not applying it in real world , u might as well forget all the 15 lessons , that u have crammed so hard. take it easy.but the guys who learn java from experience and then give exam know it from the nasa's angle.
One thing you guys tend to forget is that a certification is a personal gratification and not a way of challenging others. Please stop that everlasting battle about I-am-the-youngest-SCJP-in-the-universe-and-that-crap... so what !?!? [ June 13, 2002: Message edited by: Valentin Crettaz ]
I think its not challenging for a teenager(usually they don't have any responsibilities than to study) to pass a exam than a person in the age of 30's and loaded with lots of responsibilities in life in that age.
Please ranchers...stop such kind of debate..."I'm the youngest..."...Nothing to be proud saying I'm the youngest...rather I'll say its not justified to be a SCJP,SCWCD in 10/11/12yr...what does it prove ? Nothing...If you are not into realworld programming...your certification does not prove anything...I can asure my 3 years brother can pass SCJP anytime...so what ? Please be experianced than pass it...
I think so I am the India's (as well as World's) youngest SCJP programmer (passed with 65 % at the age of 7 yrs 9 months 19 days)....... will any one help me that I m or not? as I am confused because after a lot of research on this matter ("Who is the youngest SCJP programmer") , I have not found any one younger than me to pass this exam. Please any one (as well as media) could help to find more information about it?
