I have passed the
SCEA exam last week.

Score:
Part I : 97% (wrong answer in "Common Architectures")
Part II-III : 87% (don't know where I have missed some points and sun unfortunately doesn't give you some info about it)
To prepare for the exam I have read:
Cade, Roberts : Sun Certified Enterprise Architect for
J2EE Technology Study Guide (too expensive for what is actually in it, but gives you at least an overview what to study)
Monson-Haefel : Enterprise
Java Beans, 3rd Ed.
Fowler, Scott : UML Distilled (short, but useful)
GOF : Design
Patterns (a must-read)

I studied about for about 8 weeks (in the evening, 2hrs a day) for part I and it took me about 6 evenings for the architecture task.
Part I: You have to read a lot of text for most of the questions. I think it is better to read the possible answers first and then the text. That might save you some time.
