Hi all,
Just wanted to post my success on the SCJP 1.4 Exam and offer a few tips. I only got a 78%, but I'll take it.
For those of you who are preparing for this exam, make sure to study the Thread class in great detail. Most of my misses were related to the Thread class; so make sure you know all the details of this class. Also, take time to study in detail related classes such as the Runnable interface. Mainly, just take time to study each chapter of a good study guide (it took me about six weeks of casual study) and you are sure to succeed. Good luck all!

Michael,
Congratulations!
Were there any thread concepts or thread methods on the exam that were particularly problematic?

All,
Thanks for the encouragement . I'll need it for the J2EE Web Developer Exam.
Dan,
There were a handful of questions about the join method for which I was not prepared. The study guide I chose (SYBEX) was certainly sufficient for attaining a passing score, but it did not attempt to cover the Thread class ( and some other issues) in the amount of detail that I found on the exam. However, those questions of that level of detail only accounted for about 5% - 15% of the exam.
Hope that helps...
