hello ranchers!!!
i just took the scjp 1.4 this morning and i passed it although not with a high score.:-)
anyway what is important is that i passed the exam. And i want to thank you all for all your support.
Valentin your exam is really great. Its much harder with the real one. And also for Dan for his topic by topic exam, especially in Math classes and collections. You know what Dan, if not for your exam in collection i would not know about the LinkHashSet and LinkHashMap.There are 4 or 5 questions in Collections in the exams and guess what these is the only topic that i got 100%.One thing that i regret was i didn't try your exams on garbage collection and threads, which i got low percentage.4 questions in gc and 6 in threads.
Actually the 1.4 exam that i took covers more on
language fundamentals... method overloading, overriding, variables initialization(local and member),String class,StringBuffer, operators, primitive ranges and language fundamentals.there's only one question in assertion.
To those whose planning to take the exam all i can say is that u should closely examine the code, coz there's a lot of tricky questions, like codes that a static method calling a non static method.. stuff like that.....And don't forget to try the mock exams of Valentin and Dan,these are your gauge if your ready to take the exam..
My next plan is to take the web component test sometime next year...
