Here are the results of my SCJD 1.4 beta assignment:
This report shows the total 1.4 SCJD points that could have been awarded in each section, and the actual number of points you were awarded. This is provided to give you per-section feedback on your strengths.
The maximum possible score is 400; the minimum to pass is 320.
Total score: 352
General Considerations (maximum = 100): 99
Documentation (maximum = 70): 70
O-O Design (maximum = 30): 30
GUI (maximum = 40): 29
Locking (maximum = 80): 44
Data store (maximum = 40): 40
Network server (maximum = 40): 40
Apparently I need to work on my GUI and locking stuff  Otherwise the rest seems to be fine.

Congrats Valentin. Yeah you need work on GUI, but then again I don't really know anyone using Java's GUI in business applications.
Did you use the LockManager?

Congrats Val !
We hear this over and over again - the locking is obviously important, but everyone seems to know that. The surprising thing is that almost everybody gets nailed on the GUI portion also.
So, the unexpected area to watch out for is the dreaded GUI.
Anyway, congratulations again!

Thank you everybody, I really appreciate your support
there's an SCJD 1.4 beta?
Sun has launched the beta exam for SCJD 1.4 as part of their general exam upgrade process back in August 02. The definitive SCJD 1.4 exam should be available shortly (from what I know). I guess SCWCD will be next

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
