Hi everyone, I just cleared my exam yesterday ... and the results were as per my expectations.. A hearty thanks to everyone at Javaranch and the guys at enthuware for their superbly written exam prep book and exam simulator!!!
This was my approach for the preps.. #) Studied the SCWCD Exam Kit from www.enthuware.com twice #)Practiced a lot from the source code of the same exam kit. #) Read the JSP and Servlet specs once.. a quick overview.. Specs are supposed to be boring arent they ;-) #) Just 2 days before the exam. I tried all the exams in the exam kit and read the exam quick prep guide at the end of the book..
A few tips about the exam.. Read every question twice.. there is sufficient time so be sure to understand the question well before you answer Be very careful of questions which look simple. They is a catch somewhere !! I wrote down the question number on a paper for questions i was not sure of.. and gave them more thought once I was through the 59 questions..
Before the exam started, there was a survey containing 9 questions. The questions were related to the JSP and Servlet technology usage. I am debating on my next cert - should it be the IBM OOAD& UML or the J2EE connectivity exam .. any advice or suggestions are welcome .. Thanks again...
