Just passed the exam with 95%. Naturally I m very excited about it. I got 58/61. I answered incorrectly one question each in Garbage Collection, Language Fundamentals and Operators and Assignments.
I started with Kathy Sierra/Bert Bates Java book. At first I thought I would never be able to read the entire book. But thanks to Kathy and Bert, reading the book was fun. Thank you very much for your nice book.
I also found Dan Chisholm's material very useful. The questions were more challenging than the rest but they give excellent insight into the topics. Thanks a lot Dan.
Also, the Sun Practice tests were very helpful. I learnt from my mistakes I did taking these exams and they came in very handy during the exam.
Finally, want to thank all of you at the ranch, I learnt a lot from various discussions.
I scored around 85 % in Kathy/Bates practise exams and a little above 70% in Dan's comprehensive exams and around 80 % in Suns practice exams.
I made sure I went thruough all the Exam Watches and Two Minute Drills in Kathy/Bates book. Since I was not very confident on Threads I practised some tests in Dan's topic-wise exams. That gave some good revision.
Also like Rory French (the guy who got 100% a few days back) I drank a lot of water and even visited the bathroom a couple of times during the exam and it really worked
Once again want to thank everyone at the ranch, Kathy/Bates for their excellent book and Dan for his great exams.
