Hi Everybody !
Yes! I passed ! Started the test hoping for 53% and ended up with 95%...
During the test I could still remember Dr. Hymans explanations, they really helped. ( Dr. Hyman was my Java Teacher in second semester 2001, El Camino College, CA ). Thanks Dr. Hyman for letting me in your course !
Thanks also to all of you to JavaRanch, this forum really keeps us going. Thanks Vince Hon for the study materials...
I read 2 books, both very good, "Sun Certified Programmer & Developer for Java 2 Study Guide By Kathy Sierra and Bert Bates" and "The Complete Java 2 Certification Study Guide , Third edition
Philip Heller, Simon Roberts "
Did some mock exams:
Sun sample questions: 90%
Marcus Green exam 1 : 74%
Kathy/Berts book final exam: 89%
Philip Heller book final exam: 64% ( was the first one I took )
JQPlus exam 1: 69%
Dan Chisholm: 52%
I found the test easy compared to the mock exams. My study time was: a 6 month java course at El Camino College in 2001. 2002 no java studying , but I took a C# course which helped me settle OO concepts. Started really studying 2 months ago reading the books slowly, and the last 2 weeks were full time study, more than 8 hours a day ...
Thanks everyone ! Thanks my hubby and my sis for letting me do nothing but study for the past 2 weeks...

Hi Uddsu,
Dan Chisholm mock exams are excellent, you can find them at: You get kind of low scores with them, but dont use them to predict the score you are gonna get, use them as a great tool for learning:
http://www.danchisholm.net
For information on JQPlus, go to
http://www.jdiscuss.com/ you can even win a JQPlus V4 for free !
Good Luck !
Giselle
And Thanks again everybody from JavaRanch. Yes Ill stick around, I really enjoy the site, and who knows I might even go for another Certification once I forget how stressful this can be....
Ah, btw, I also drank a lot of water during the test... I really clears up your mind !

Hi Vince,
Im not sure... I guess the best next thing would be SCWCD, specially considering Ill be working on a J2EE project soon. But Im still taking a break !
