This week's book giveaway is in the OO, Patterns, UML and Refactoring forum. We're giving away four copies of Refactoring for Software Design Smells: Managing Technical Debt and have Girish Suryanarayana, Ganesh Samarthyam & Tushar Sharma on-line! See this thread for details.
I recently passed the SCJP exam with no trouble. I would like to give a big thanks to the experts at JavaRanch. You provided great information on which books to read and which topics to concentrate on. The Rules Roundup is not only fun, but educational. Many of the test questions dealt directly with rules I hammered into my head by playing that game over and over again. The forums and mock exam lists were quite valuable as well. JavaRanch is a great resource and I hope all potential test-takers will check this site out. If you're thinking about taking this exam, I advise you to study hard and understand the concepts. If you can do that, I'm confident you'll have no problems passing. Good luck. I'm off to the SCWCD and SCJD certs now! -Nate
Nate, You mentioned a Rules Roundup game...can you provide me with the link to that? I have looked around the javaranch site, but assume I'm overlooking it (still fairly new to the ranch) as I cannot find it anywhere. It sounds fun to do, though. Congrats to you! Ross

Never mind....just found the Rules Roundup...guess it helps if I actually leave the forum for the home page once in a while!
