I'm preparing to take the SCJP exam, and was wondering if any JP experts out there have any adivce for me as a get started.

Hi, Greg -
I would recommend starting by reading the posts in this thread, and in the Programmer Certification thread. You'll learn a lot of ways the successful test takers used to prepare for their tests, and you'll also see some ways to avoid.
If you've programmed in Java before, you probably only need the Sierra/Bates book to prepare. If you haven't programmed in Java, you can start by downloading the free tutorial from Sun's Java site.
