Congrats, Tony!
Great score!
I noticed you lost some points in the GUI part.
Any clues as to why this happened?
Better yet, could you give us some idea as to how you did the GUI part?

Hello Tony,
Did you do server side locking or client side locking in your book method?
Congratulations! Great score!
Regards.

I had the Bodgitt and Scarper assignment. I have no idea why the GUI was marked down. I had approximately 8 reviewers who all commented on its ease of use. I have put it down to either something I am just completely ignorant to in GUI design or a possible area where marks are purposely deducted even for minor flaws (aka nit-picking).
I achieved locking by allowing the client to perform write operations as follows:
a) acquire exclusive lock for data record x
b) write to data record x
c) release exclusive lock for data record x
I also documented in choices.txt that a limitation is that the client shouldn't be relied upon to perform these operations atomically i.e. a client may perform a, but not b,c which will cause problems (my exact words were "the consequences are non-trivial"). I documented a number of possible solutions to the problem, however, I did not implement it as it may be considered exceeding the requirements.

Hello Tony,
Please comment on your documentation as well. How extensive was your documentation?
choices.txt?
userguide.txt?
Do you have any recommendations on documentation?
Thanks for your time.
Regards.
Bharat

Congrats Tony. Well done. But you were supposed to post your results in the results forum, and not here. So I am going to move this to that forum.
Thanks and congrats again.
