I have prepared for the exam for almost 4 months. I would like to share this wonderful experience to Java especially to beginners out there. I have only finished 1st year of college education due to family financial constraints. I have worked as a pager message operator for 2 1/2 years. When I was in primary and secondary school I excelled in the English subject, but hated Math, never liked computers. I am very new to the IT world, let alone very new to programming. It was a year ago when my aunt volunteered to shoulder my education provided it will only be a 2-year course. I chose to study in a Professional Diploma in IT at NIIT Philippines. In my studying for the exam up to present I still don't have my own PC, but that did not stop me from studying Java, let alone taking this exam. it probably was my determination, eagerness to achieve something, and constant prayers for strength that made me pass this exam.
My sincerest thanks to my girlfriend Bhing for sponsoring my SCJP voucher and resources, to the wickedly smart authors of the precious book Sun Certified Programmer and Developer for Java 2, to Mr Dan Chisholm and his "empowered" mock exams, to the people of Javaranch who have been so helpful and patient and smart, and to my Maker who gifted me with the aptitude and strength to go through all this.
To all beginners out there, please know that NOTHING can ever obstruct you from achieving something. If you have the heart, the devotion, the guts, the unsolicited assistance of people like Mr Chisholm and Marcus Green, Java is never 'unreachable'. God bless you all

Hi, Good job!
I'm also a Filipino and planning to take the exam by December.
What section did you find very difficult in the exam?
Maraming salamat,
Jonathan
