Dear all, I need to thank you all (Andrew, Phil, Jim, Deep, Vlad, Mark, Bharat, Dushy......) very much for all the kindly help and detail&clear discussion in every detail. Without this forum, I can't make it. The following is the my score. It is not good, but I really don't have time to make it better. The maximum possible score is 400; the minimum to pass is 320. General Considerations (maximum = 100): 92 Documentation (maximum = 70): 69 O-O Design (maximum = 30): 30 GUI (maximum = 40): 28 Locking (maximum = 80): 44 Data store (maximum = 40): 40 Network server (maximum = 40): 40 Hi Andrew, Phil, and all the others who paid attention to the 2/3 tier design issue, now I believe that SUN does like the 2-tier/thin client design for the URLyBird assignment. I am wondering is there any way to find out why they think there is a problem with the locking at server side? Again, thanks you all! Good luck, Joe
